Easter Carnival April 2014

We had a wonderful day with His little ones at Hope University on April 5, 2014 in an early Easter carnival. Children from more than15 centers, totaling about 660 in number came together for the Easter celebrations.

The children were served snacks with juice on arrival before the start of the Program, which was opened by Ato Negash Kebede, Board of Directors for Hope Enterprise, and a prayer by Henock Abbay, Gospel singer (Leader of Madan Choir). Songs were delivered by four different groups, namely Zema 4 Christ, Madan Choir, Mekrez Singers and Beza Kids Choir. Message from the Word of God was presented by Pastor Endrias Hawaz. The morning session ended by a closing prayer made by Mamusha Fenta.

Lunch was followed by a time of fun games led by Young Life Team. The children also got to have spontaneous play time divided into their age groups and overseen by volunteers. At the close of the day’s events, there Easter gifts were presented to the kids, which included educational books relevant to their grade/class level and an English to Amharic dictionary for every grade 7 and above. The children left for home quite happy with the activities and gifts.

The gift was all sponsored and fund raised by Minnesota Ethiopian Christian Youth Fellowship, and all other expenses were covered with the sale of Zema 4 Christ album, which was released few months ago and dedicated to these events.

The success of the day is the result of the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers who gave themselves to this wonderful and blessed work wholeheartedly. May God bless All those who labor with us and take part in one way or another. Your reward is from our heavenly father. Stay Blessed!
